Penny War

2024 Region 6 Penny War with Silver Sabotage
RULES
The Penny War is a fun competition between the TIRO, LIRO, and the Denton Campus to raise funds for your Employees Association!

We will use the money for scholarships and other employee events.  A guaranteed scholarship will be available to the LIRO, TIRO, and the Denton Campus scholarship.

The Employees Association will level out the competition between these organizations through an averaging calculation based on total monies received and the number of employees at that location. This approach gives each Office a fair chance at winning.

The Employees Association will use the current staffing chart to determine the number of people in each Office.

HOW TO WIN
  • Put as many pennies or personal checks, made out to the Employees Association, as possible in your Office’s jar! 
  • You can sabotage another Office’s gains by putting silver coins such as nickels, dimes, quarters, half dollars, or cash in their jar. 
  • Any silver coins deposited into an Office’s jar reduces their total by that amount. For example, a quarter cancels out 25 pennies or $5 cash will reduce that Office’s penny total by 500!
  • The Office jar with the most “pennies/checks” minus “silver/cash” at the end of the Penny War wins!

​To INCREASE your Office’s balance – deposit PENNIES and CHECKS in your jar.
To DECREASE another Office’s balance – deposit ANY SILVER coins or CASH into your opponent’s jar.
